[Release] 3.10 - Inbox & Notifications, Chat

With the introduction of Release 3.10, we're improving the way you communicate, moving away from traditional text, emails, and external platforms like MS Teams or Whatsapp.

Whether you're:

  • A vendor collaborating with a client
  • A client managing your vendors
  • Or anyone in between

This new release is designed to make your work management and collaboration seamless and more efficient than ever before.

Getting Started with the New Features

To activate your notifications for email, inbox, and chat, simply head over to the top right corner, click on your profile icon, and select "account settings."

You'll see the features you're allowed to access; anything beyond your permissions will appear greyed out.

From there, you can pick your preferred methods of staying informed.


Introducing Job, Invoice, & Purchase Order Watchers

Look out for new icons in every record, especially the watcher icon.

This feature lets you manually add key stakeholders to any job, ensuring they're updated in real-time as actions occur.

We've also implemented default rules to automatically assign watchers to jobs, invoices, and POs for certain activities, ensuring crucial updates never miss the mark.

Real-time Job Chat

We've borrowed the best aspects of our favorite real-time chat tools to bring you an integrated chat feature within Base. Now, you can have instant conversations with clients, vendors, and internal teams without ever leaving the platform. Opt-in for chat message notifications to be sent directly to your chosen method (inbox or email) and enjoy streamlined communication across all fronts.

Stay Up-to-Date with Notifications

Our new real-time inbox feature ensures you're always informed as changes happen. From work progress, invoice approvals to cost reconciliations, you'll receive notifications directly in Base, provided you've enabled the correct settings and are added as a watcher on relevant records.


Setting Up Clients in Your Base Organization

If you haven't already, now is the perfect time to add your clients to your Base organization. This simple process gives your clients a dedicated view of the work you've done for them, streamlining their approval process. As a Base admin, you can onboard your clients in just a few steps.

  • Integrating chats into the document merge feature for final billing packets

  • Fixed issue where files with "#" in name would not preview in app
